The seminar was hosted by Goldsea International Company Ltd. (“Goldsea Int”), a professional consultancy company specializing in ship S&P and leasing, ship design and construction, ship financing advisory, shipping market intelligence, ship digitalization, and craft ship model services.
Mr. Weiheng Chen from J.P. Morgan first presented economic outlooks for major countries and regions. He believed that geopolitical risks persist. In the near term, tariff-driven inflation will slow U.S. economic growth but avoid recession. Interest rate cut expectations are already priced in, while sustained concerns over deficits, Fed independence, and USD will push long-end rates elevated. USD will become weaker due to cyclical factors. Europe’s deficit plans will boost defense-related spending, driving economic growth. China’s economic slowdown will persist through 2026, primarily constrained by export payback and weak domestic consumption amid deflationary conditions; however, technological innovation emerges as a new bright spot.
ORBYT Global Group (“ORBYT”) Mr. Martin Mikkelsen shared regulatory requirements for environmental sustainability in shipping and introduced the company’s intelligent products designed to help shipping companies meet compliance standards and optimize route operations. He stated: As regulatory demands intensify and compliance metrics multiply, shipowners and carriers must proactively plan, monitor in real time, and accurately report in accordance with regulatory requirements. ORBYT Environav and ORBYT Emissions empower shipping companies and carriers to transform daily regulatory challenges into a competitive advantage, safeguarding our fleets, our business, and the oceans we navigate.
Mr. Wei Gao from DNV Technical Support outlined vessel design trends under the lifecycle assessment for shipping GHG emissions, particularly wind-assisted propulsion systems and onboard carbon capture systems. He noted that as green compliance requirements intensify, the number of vessels utilizing new energy technologies is growing rapidly, which necessitates integrating decarbonization solutions that can reduce energy consumption and emissions into the design phase. Beyond traditional fuel-based vessel designs, ship design must now incorporate new fuels, technologies, carbon emissions after treatment (carbon capture and storage), and enhanced operational techniques and efficiency. Let us work together to advance the decarbonization journey.
Mr. Wang Jianjun from Goldsea International moderated the panel discussion on shipping investment.
Ms. Serena Huang from Drewry shared the current investment hotspots in the shipping market.
Ms. Ning Han from ShipBid.net introduced the advanced online ship Sales and Purchase platform.
Mr. Serkan Alpahul from Mianbao Shipping of Turkey shared the investment characteristics of coast tonnage vessels.
Mr. Jianjun Wang, Founder of Goldsea Int, stated: “We extend our gratitude to the speakers for their insightful presentations. Their extensive expertise and meticulous preparation made this event truly enriching. We also thank every attendee for your presence, which demonstrates strong support for Goldsea Int. I am confident that all attendees gained valuable insights through the Goldsea International Marine Seminar platform.
